A Celebration of Love

One of Annick and Rebecca’s wedding aisle runners was on display at our stand and the SA Wedding Show. It attracted quite a lot of attention, compliments and questions. This is one of those special projects that’s close to my heart. The more I got to know Annick & Rebecca the more I realised that theirs’ was no ordinary wedding in the conventional sense of the word. It was more a celebration of their love and they wanted their wedding day to reflect that.

They were very clear in what they wanted. Rebecca emailed me handwritten drawings of what they had in mind and together we tweaked the designs until they were perfectly happy. Now this was an interesting process. Rebecca was in Johannesburg, Annick was based in Hong Kong and yours truly in Cape Town. Navigating between, emails, telephone calls and different time zones was challenging, especially with last minute changes and additions. To top it all, we had some tight deadlines because everything had to be couriered to Johannesburg. Annick only arrived in Johannesburg 3 days before the wedding.

Annick & Rebecca ordered TWO 7m wedding aisle runners, one for the wedding ceremony and one for the reception. Each one had different design elements. Only the colour scheme (coral and gold) remained consistent. They also ordered custom-designed Bottle Labels AND a PhotoWall/Backdrop that measured 2,5m high and 4m wide.
