Brandon & Charlene, from Cape Town but based in Johannesburg, had their wedding ceremony at the historic 300 year old Nooitgedacht Estate situated in Stellenbosch near Cape Town. While the wedding ceremony was initially planned to take place outside, the notorious Cape weather would hear nothing of it. The ceremony moved indoors to a chapel that once did duty as a wine cellar. This setting was perfect for the wedding aisle runner. It contrasted beautifully with the with the dark stone walls and wooden floor. 1,3m (54″) wide and 10m (33feet) long, the wedding aisle runner matched the silver and baby pink bridal colours perfectly. I incorporated a light grey pattern into the design. Let me know what you think of it?

I had the pleasure of taking the photo that appears on the runner. They popped in at my studio for the shoot and in no time at all we had the shot that captured their relationship perfectly….best friends who love each other unconditionally…soul mates forever… Unfortunately, Brandon injured his leg in a fall 3 days before the wedding and had to walk the aisle with crutches. That didn’t dampen the spirit at all. Charlene fought to hold back the tears as she walked down the aisle toward Brandon staring into each other’s eyes….. This was their moment…
